To All With Aftermarket Sub/amp

Okay i've exhausted my search regarding the amplifier and sub install with factory headunit. i've done everything as far as running wires etc, but i've come across a problem. I'm trying to use a line out converter but i cant tap into rear left and right door speakers (dont feel like taking door panels apart). What i am asking for is an actual picture of a line out converter tapped into whatever harness the signal can be taken from. I've heard of some tapping into factory amp, so any pics of that would help.

THANKS!

well you can tap into the signal Before the amp (you have to take out the rear seat) or if you get a good quality line converter thats able to handle more power you can tap into the sub wires. The best is the wires before the amp

When I had mine done, They tapped into the rear speakers, but it wasn't behind the door panel. It was under the center pillar( dunno what the name is) next to the drivers side seat. Close to where the bottom of the seat belt attaches to. They ran wires to that area and tapped those wires. I'll get pics when I can, but since she is still at the shop, I can't really get them easily. I plan on switching to the pre-amp wire soon though.

I think there was a DIY in the AV section though. Good Luck

Assuming your subwoofer amp has a built in crossover, you can just tap into the rear speaker wires behind the stock radio. Hide your line out converter there, and run RCA cables to the back. Definately no need to take apart the rear doors.

dont tap into the speakers. There are two wires going into your sub amp behind your back seat that you can splice RCA signal wires into. Look in the audio/video section for a DIY w/ pics
