Alarm system with Remote Start

I'm thinking about putting an alarm system with remote start on my TL-S. (Either the Viper 790XV or Clifford RS3) Just wanted to know which would you chose between the two choices? Will putting an aftermarket alarm with remote start void my factory warranty? What are the pros and cons of a remote start? I'll be long driving on my vacation so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

i just boufht the viper 790xv and i'm waiting to get it installed. the remote starter will not void warranty. i had remote start on my last car and it was great in the summer and winter. but, i have heard that using it excessively could cause some damage to ignition system, but thats not from a reliable source.

When you get the remote start make sure your electrical startup sequence is correct, otherwise, you could trick out your NAVI voice and OnStar (if you have them). Ron at StreetEffectz figured this one out on my Viper 790XV.

I've got the Viper 790XV. I don't think I can live without remote start, especially after this winter. Costs about $5-600 to install, but its worth it.
