alarm shock sensor (Helm manual)
Most of us hooked up the shock sensor to the hood trigger wire (yellow w/ silver stripe). Anyone with a Helm manual, can you point out which is the TRUNK trigger wire? (color code, where can it be found etc would be extremely appreciated. THx.

This is page 22-212 if anyone wants to double check my results (and please do!!):
The hood trigger wire:
Cavity B6
Yellow
Hood Open: V=<1V
Hood Closed: V=>5V
The trunk trigger wire:
Cavity B8
Blue/Green
Trunk lid open: V=<1V
Trunk lid closed: V=>5V
The trunk wire is in the same general location as the hood wire, ie at the control unit on the drivers side.
Out of curiousity, what do you have in mind? [/QUOTE]
Thanks for your help man. What I had in mind was wire my trigger wire to the trunk trigger wire instead of the hood. When I pop the trunk, the trunk trigger wire is DISABLED by the stock alarm unit, thus, even if the shock sensor is trigger by vibration, the alarm will NOT go off so I can put stuffs in the trunk and such without having to worry about the alarm. When I close the trunk, stock alarm senses this and enable this trunk wire again, thus the shock sensor will work again as normal. This is just my theory..any info/comment is welcomed.

i just checked the helms manual... yea the info from the CL seems to be the same for the TL. the wire is blu/grn, in cavity B8. the wire is on the same harness as the hood trigger. if you're looking at the wire side of the female terminal, cavity b8 is 2 slots to the right of cavity b6 (for the hood).
as for what u want to wire up... i'm not exactly an electrical guy, but i know some basic stuff, and your idea sounds legit to me... good luck, and let us know if it works. hope this helps!

Are you absolutely sure that it is blue/green wire? According to the WireMagic, it's the orange/silver dotted for hood (match what we are using now) and orange/silver dotted for trunk. Please double check again for me.
The message above, it's yellow (hood) and blue/green (trunk)... Yellow should be yellow/silver dotted. I want to make sure. Thanks

Okay i just checked..there is no blue/green wire (blue wire with green stripe). I did see the green/blue wire (green wire with blue stripe...there is a difference) and silver dotted. You have to be a great contortorist to get down there and look and I'm not a great one so I'm not 100% certain that there isn't one..but I'm 90% is none. Man, I'm about to give up on this.
