My alarm is not working properly. When I arm and disarm the car, nothing happens, my door does unlock or lock. I can open the car with the key and nothing will happen. The only thing that seems to work is that my panic button will work and to turn off the panic, the disarm button will kill the panic. I think it may be in valet mode? Does anyone know how to turn this feature off. This is the OEM alarm.

 

it doesnt have a valet mode. are all your doors properly closed?

 

Check if your hood is closed all the way. I've had this problem and just checked the hood, it wasn't closed all the way. After that everything was fine.
If that doesnt' solve it bring it to Acura. Warranty work.

TranMan329, when you refer to "alarm":

Do you have an alarm system on your car (installed at the dealer -- David McDavid)?
Or, are you referring to the Keyless entry system?

When you hit the car does the alarm go off?
The reason I ask is that my dealer (McDavid) didn't didn't have the alarm as an option!

 

The TL does have a factory alarm standard horn will honk & lights will flash. Factory alarm goes off if doors are opened. The factory alarm has no motion or glass breaking sensors. The factory alarm remote has a panic button. Keyless Entry is just that remote to open power doorlocks.
