Alarm issue

My car alarm goes off randomly, does anyone else have this issue?
Don't know if anyone has pressed the panic buttom but when the "alarm" goes off the horn blows and the lights blink, recently my car has been doing that randomly. There will be no one around my car on a clear day and then...BEEP BEEP BEEP! Anyone experience this problem?

hmmmm... Dunno. Do you think someone is screwing with you? (they have the other remote and trip the panic every now and again)

Check your remote. Open it up and make sure the panic button isn't depressed or stuck. You may also want to try taking the battery out of the remote you usually have with you, use the other remote for a few days and see if the problem goes away. That would tell you if it's the car or a problem with that one remote.

Ya there is a TSB on this. The problem is with our flimsy remotes. They tend to flex every once in a while, causing your panic button to get stuck, thus causing the alarm to go off. Go to the dealer, and they should either replace, or apply some tape inside to eliminate the housing from flexing.

Later.
