Air By-pass valve.
Here's the deal. I had my tranny replaced about a month ago. When my car was in the shop I had them clean my air filter cleaned. Today I was putting windshield washer fluid in my car I noticed my air by-pass valve was split it two pieces. Then I noticed there was electrical tape on one half of it. Those Ba$tard$ at the dealership did not tell me that they broke the air by-pass valve. The other bad thing is I don't know how long it has been like that. I hope my engine did not ingest anything. I also can't prove that they did that. What would you do in this situation. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
thats f***** up. confront them and make them pay for it. even though you dont have the proof they base their business on customer orientation. so if youre not happy they should go out of their way to make you happy
Well I took the car back to the dealer and talked to the service man. I explained everything to him. He said they would pay for the air by-pass and give me a 100$ discount on my 30000 mile service. He also said they would install it for free. I know its not hard to replace but why should I have to replace it. I just hope that does not happen again.
man at least they admitted to the problem and is willing to replace and reimburse you. some acura dealers really suck and won't admit to things like that. heck they won't even do warrenty work on the car just cause you have aftermarket parts.
