Thanks, Joe, for sending my memory for a little ride. I definitely inherited my car-bug from my Dad. When I was in high school ('66-68), he was very much enjoying his 289 Cobra (no, not the Mustang). I remember many a drive when the rain would hit --- we could stay dry as long as we didn't have to stop at a light! And of course, even at 60, he'd never let a Corvette beat him out of the light. And then there was the DeTomaso Mangusta, but that's another story. . .

Scott -- 53 -- And my wife can't understand why I won't settle for 'basic transportation.'

47 in a November.

That Girl, I wish I went to ultrasound school can't believe I wasted 7 years of education. I'll bet you only work a 32 hour week too!

I should have got the Corvette but my wife wouldn't let me (claims I needed a 4 door sedan,) Used to work on BM Troubleyous, so I couldn't see waisting the cash.

Next to asti I'm a pup. I'll be pushing up daiseys at 72.

I'm 21, bought mine used and let someone else take the depreciation for me

Coupes are for girls (no offense and the Prelude is the exception to this!) I like 4 door cars better anyway.

Scott tell her to settle for "basic clothes" and you'll most likely never hear the topic ever again

I'm 30. My 99 Prelude turned into an oil burner so I traded it in for a 2003 TL Type-S. Black. How the hell are all you 18-25 year olds affording TLs? Or do you just have your priorities screwed up?

Ack, tell me about it, man. Back in my hometown, 4 out of 5 TL's I see are driven by older people. And by "older", I mean like in their 40's and 50's +.

I'm probably one of the youngest TL drivers in town. When I wave at other TL'ers, they frown at me. I don't care. I only live there 4 months out of the year, anyway.

I hope "older" people on this board are a little more open-minded than the ones in my town.

I don't think I have my priorities screwed up...plus, my family is I guess...well not loaded but we are doing well off probably like most of the young'ens on this forum

I'm 22 now, bought my TL at 20. I have a nice stock portfolio, an investment property, a 401K, I think I have my priorities straight. It bothers me to always hear, "Did daddy buy you that car?" Or "How can you afford that car?".

That Girl,
I should be, I have a bud in the back cracking business, he makes a great living. I contemplated chiropractor, computer science and law, and went with the latter.

19 here.
by the way, to the older crowd:
i enjoy all types of music to some extent but mostly listen to rap. i resent your statements on how we complain about the bose with a lack of bass. i know some may not be satisfied, but i am more than happy with it. in fact, a friend has a system with 2 subs, and when he came into my car he agreed that it was enough.
i think its more of the older crowd who complain most on the stereo. reason being is the young ones most of the time did not pay for the car,
and they know that they have a better stock system than any of their friends do, way better.
when you own something really expensive but didnt pay for it, you really dont have the right to complain.
these are all my opinions, and i may not be the average young guy. after all, i did pick a 4 door family sedan as my first car!
oh yeah, i am paying for my car so dont think all the young ones get it free!

34 - no kids but a mortgage, and going from my 02 Max to this dropped my payment - since a car it the worst investment you can make, I figured the less I pay the better (and I got more car in the bargin).

You don't have to wonder too much about the 16-24 crowd...kids are much smarter with their money these days. my 12 year old nephew has an investment portfolio!...I wish I was smarter with my money when I was younger..I'd be retired.

smart lil weiner

Has saved his birthday, x-mas and what not money, plus he works over the summer cutting grass - plus a genrous grandma, grandpa and uncle - Heck if I had invested in intel, Microsoft and Cisco when I was in my teenage years (just 1000 bucks a piece) I'd be driving the NSX right now!
