I'm looking to buy a TL premium. I just need to decide to go w/ or w/out the navigation system. The dealer wants $2000 for the system. Before I get it, I just thought I would ask if there was a way to add one later for a lower price.

 

You could add an aftermarket one but it would end up costing you as much and probably more than the factory installed system.

 

Yes you could add an aftermarket system later but as said it most likely cost more. You would not have the cleaner look like the factory unit.

 

if you add an aftermarket one you have 2 a/v inputs though.
you could have a vcr or a dvd player plus a video game system. i might have one for sale in the near future (alpine dvd nav)

 

I've added one. Check the specs on the system. It costs about the same but I have more capabilities on mine which I'm happy with.
