Aftermarket halo/projector headlights + chrome window trim

Hi. I'm new to the forum. Just purchased a used 99 tl and love the look of the halo and projector headlights. I think that's the first thing I'd like to change. But I am not handy when it comes to stuff like that as far as retrofitting. Carid.com has projector headlights for our cars. Does anyone have experience with them?

Also my chrome window trim is dented pretty bad on the drivers side. How can I remove and replace it? Someone help a noob out lol

Welcome !

I don't know about halos but the chrome trim can be removed with a small flat head screwdriver and a philips to remove the screw towards the front.
The underside of the trim is made of rubber, if you pull back you"ll see white plastic clips each have 2 tabs holding the trim to the body, push upwards as you pull the trim.

Thanks so much. I was able to remove the trim. I'm going to take a chance and order the lights. Will post pics when I get them on.

I don't think they make aftermarket headlights for our TLs with halos and projectors in them already... At least I have not seen any, and I looked long and hard.

Yeah, the first ones may work for a project....but not a plug 'n play !!!
See Cincinattiguy19's previous threads on how he did the projectors. Good info & stuff.

Here's a good write up of retrofit for our cars.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...Sportsautotech

As for projectors, I'd probably get them off theretrofitsource.com I've heard great things about their quality and customer service.
