I was wondering that myself.
Is there one that will not screw up the Acura Keyless Entry and Memory Seat feature?

I met Drizzay with his brand new TL-S last Saturday at the DC/MD/VA MEET. I was asking the same thing about the memory seats. But even if you get aftermarket alarm you still have the button on the door to position your seats. I got a Clifford System put in my 2000TL the day after I picked up from the dealer. I gave up the feature of the drivers door not locking if the key was in the ignition.I have my alarm arm without pressing the button at a preset time.
If you guys give up the memory seat position on the remote its not that big of a deal.

Yea, It really isn't a big deal if you give up the memory seats. Heck, the 2001's don't even come witht them.
I'm considering getting the Viper 550 ESP with/ Proximity sensor, Glass tamper thingy, Tilt/Motion sensor and it also has a starter too. Cost about $5-700 for the whole package, installed.

I have a clifford with auto arm/auto lock, and the autolocking feature is just trouble waiting to happen. Don't accidently leave your keys in the car, or you'll be locked out in 30 seconds...

I went to an after-market dealer today to discuss a Viper. He said the dealer would try to void my warranty as it relates to electrical if he saw an after market alarm. He suggested a system that would work with my existing remote and would appear to have been installed by the dealer. All four doors, trunk, shock/glass breakage, override for (only) $500.
Then, upon questioning, he lost all remaining credibility when he told me that the car only has engine immobilization and no security system. The manual says differently but I don't have a Slim Jim to verify.
I think I'll keep it stock for the moment and spend fewer bucks on a good radar detector.

I personally installed a new alarm system on my other Honda. It's a new alarm on the market called ALaddin made by a company called Televideo ( www.televideo.com) it has engine start, programmable engine start, and its a two way tranmittor like a pager so you can know if your car is armed or if your alarm went off.
If you guys are interested in this alarm, please contact me since I can get good deals with that company.

Don't let them fool you with that warranty issue. The dealers will try to scare you & say aftermarket alarms & other things that may void vehicle warranty. I think I read something about this on Edmunds.com last year the dealer will have to have proof that the device caused the problem. This is why you should go to a good installer. I will try & find the info on aftermarket legal issue. The dealer did scare me in not getting the autostart when I got my car saying they had problem with cars. I did however get my aftermarket Clifford alarm installed without autostart feature. I can add it to my system at any time so when the installer has a sale agian I might do so.

tlsdave: The alarm cost around 350 not including installation but I'm sure I can try to bring the price down..
it's has a cool transmittor with an LCD screen and tells you if you had arm the car and a lot of other goodies !
