After Installing 6000k bulbs!
After I installed my set of 6000k bulbs today I don't see a difference on the road. "To me" they look like they have a slight tint of purple. I've read on here that you need to give the bulbs a few days to warm up to there proper color. Is there any truth to this statement? If so how many days would it take? I figured after installing the bulbs and driving around it would give the bulbs the charge it needs. Someone have any input on this?
Give the bulbs a little while to get to their optimal colour. I cant say how long exactly but you will see a transition over time. I know I noticed it when I put my Philips 6000ks in.

i never worry about that since the HID bulbs lasts 3 times longer than regular halogen bulbs

Like they say, i think it takes about 100 hours or so for them to "color shift". And then you will be fine, out here in nyc you wont see much of a difference in light output since there are street lights. Otherwise out in the middle of no where you do see a difference, not that bad but still a difference.
You'll see a slight purplish/bluish tint for the 6000ks, I dont recall them shifting that much though.

I noticed a difference when I put in the pass side first and turned on the headlights. They were much brighter than the factory ones. But it's after I installed the pair they looked purple more than blueish white. I asked my lady and she said they look white from a distance so I'm just gonna wait for the 100hrs of running time and hopefully I'll notice a difference.
i know that phillips 6000k, do tend to be more purplish.
i went with Xentronic 6000k D2C, and the quality of light output is unbelievable. Beatufiul day light white on the roads, and nice blueish tint on the headlights. It doesnt look cheap like some aftermarket HID kits ppl have.
