Unhappy AEM Pulley Kits

Questions to all TL drivers,

I just bought a Comptech header for my 2000 TL and I'm planning on adding my hp on my car. I've been checking out on the AEM pulley kits and I was wondering if any of you guys have it on your TL? Does it improve a lot? I heard from other people saying that it wears down your engine faster. Is that true?

Second question, on the AEM official site, the TL pully kits is for 2001-2003 TL? Will it fit my 2000 TL? Isn't the 99-03 TL have the same engine parts? Please help! Thanks!

dont get the AEM kit.. it does NOTHING. only for looks.

get the Unorthodox Racing Crank pulley (or the whole kit, but only the crank will make a noticeable difference). u think u can get the UR crank pulley for like 175$ or something like that.

hope this helps

The whole issue of engine damage in the long run is still somewhat of a mystery. You can do a search and find two very long threads on this. A couple of a-cl guys have more than 60k miles w/ UR pullies. I have 10k with the UR crank pulley. The full UR set may underdrive your alternator so a big stereo system may not function optimally with it. Only the crank gives decent gains, and the AEM's are, as said above, basically cosmetic. I don't know about the sizing...

Hope this helps...
