Bob at Comptech said that as soon as they get a working/fitting prototype for the supercharger, they will release the CAI section, because they can be made a lot faster than the SC and no need to make everyone wait.

He said mid-summer, but I was wondering if it was even worth waiting or just go for the AEM now.

I think if you wait, you'll be waiting for a while. That's why I went with the Comptech air filter, it was cheap, helps air intake, and isn't loud at all. When Comptech comes out with their CAI, I'll go with that.

Also, did Comptech also mention this? With the supercharger, you'll NEED the CAI. With the CAI, you also need MORE air induction into the engine and their also working on designing a new hood to let more air into the enging compartment? That's what I was told.

someone was saying that comptechs cai is similar to aems, only that it will be enclosed in a box which supposedly doesnt give off too much noise. i know, it sounds a little weird. just get the aem now, youll be waiting forever

AEM has a good reputation, but Comptech seems to make things that are specifically designed for our TL. I would wait to see if there are any benefits to it before deciding. It will probably fit nicely without modifications. Also there might be a price difference.

I'm sure there will be people debating the issue once it comes out.. just like Xypher vs AEM.

But Adam, do you REALLY need it right now?
