yo what da helllllll.......is it just me........or on my cai, theres a black pipe over the place where the intake connects to the engine................yours doesnt have it?!?

Took about 3 or so hours because this was my friend's first CAI install on a CL.

If your refering to the rubber piece that says AEM and holds the CAI in place to the engine...the reason why we don't have pipe connecting on that is because it connects directly to the CAI. There are like basically two ways to install the CAI. Some people leave the stock holder and stick the CAI in that way. My friend wants to do it right, so he replaced everything with what AEM provided...so that means new pipes and a new holder thingy. If I missed what you were asking...you might either need to circle what ur talking about or post a pic of what your talking about.

hey that pipe is supposed to be replaced by the rubber hose that comes with the intake its not supposed to be there

I agree. Can you get a pic similar to mine so we can see if whoever installed your CAI actually switched out the stock rubber piece for the AEM one that connects your CAI to the engine body.

if your talking to me my dad and i installed the CAI (it took about 3hrs)and, i dont under stand what you you want me to take a pic of
