AEM CAI install
(if this thread gets moved I'll rip your heart out and feed it to you
)
So I got the CAI intake and bypass valve.
Getting the valve on the first pipe I broke a couple little plastic pieces in the valve and my fingernail in half (ouch!
). I think the valve will still work fine though.
Now my problem is that the pipe the filter attaches to has a bracket on it. The bracket is for Accords and gets in my damn way! Tim says (supposedly
) people have installed it fine with the bracket... is that you? Can you post pics or any tips? I don't want to whack off the bracket if I don't have to.

The bracket points down towards the driver's side headlight and will sit on the ledge around the big figure-eight hole that your filter will poke thru. Pop out the plastic tiedown for the headlight wiring harness on that same ledge and install the supplied rubber bushing/stud on top of the ledge thru the tiedown hole. Now bolt the pipe bracket to the top of that. Adjust so the pipe is centered in the hole and doesn't rub against the body, then tighten everything down.
Cool.. thanks for the reply... Though I swear I tried it just about every which way. Maybe the bypass valve is making it more difficult. When you did your install did you use a bypass valve? Its rainy in WA!

Wassup Nate,
I had sort of the same problem, the bracket near the hole(where the pipe goes through) didn't have any hole to screw the bracket down, so I had to drill a hole to screw the bracket down, I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them.
