Question AEM Bypass Valve Question. Please read.

I am installing an AEM bypass valve on my CAI. I have seen that some people put some kind of filter on top of the valve. Does anyone knows what this is and where to get it? If it is possible to make it my self, how?

Thanks,
Andrew.

The valve should come with a grey foam covering/filter. That is all you really need.

Thank you for your reply. I was asking the guy I purchased from and he said it is one peace, just the valve. I asked him about the covering he said nothing. I think it should look like on the pics from the link below.

That's exactly how it should look. He probably sold it to you with out the foam or it got lost. First it won't kill the engine if you don't have it and second the by-pass valve will never open, unless your filter is completely submerge in water.
