Advice on HID headlights for a 2001 TL

I have a 2001 Acura TL and i was wondering if it has to have HID headlights or can i just go back in with halogen headlights? I mean if the HIDs are cheaper I'll go with them but i was seeing the headlight assembly for around $150+ online for both and the ballasts with the bulbs included for around $70. So can i just get regular halogens? Or would that be more expensive? Thanks.

The 99-03 TL has HID low beams from the factory (02-03 has a different style because facelift), there might be wiring kits and aftermarket housings available to retrofit in some normal h11 bulbs or something, but I think that could become a headache pretty quickly. In terms of sticking with HID, it would definitely be the most plug and play. Just be wary of the cheaper ballasts and igniters, they might not last nearly as long as oem units but thats why they're 1/10th of the price
