Advice on aftermarket vs OEM
Hi,
I've got a 2000 3.2 TL w/o navi and my neighbor backed into it. His insurance is gonna cover it. The parts that needs to be replaced are the driver's side fender and probably the driver door outer shell. The insurance companies use aftermarket part prices for their estimates. The parts are CAPA certified but i read at a couple of places that the OEM are better. Just wanted an opinion if the aftermarket are as good as the OEM's or should i pay the difference and get the OEM. I'm leaning towards getting the OEM's rite now but wanted a second opinion.

tell his insurance company you want OEM parts or you will get an attorney. it was your neighbors fault and your car was perfectly normal before he hit it. the factory doesn't use aftermarket parts when your car was being built so why should you suffer because his insurance company goes off of aftermarket part prices because they are cheaper. I would bitch up a storm until you get what is yours.
