Adding Shock sensors to factory alarm

has anyone been able to do this? if so, can you get one with a sensitivity knob where you can make it as sensitive or unsensitive as you want?

also where can I buy something like this in canada?

thanks

a lot of people actually put shock sensor(s) on their car, hooked up to the factory alarm. it's very simple and yes u can get one that u can adjust. u can usually find them at any custom auto parts store...

btw install is pretty simple too do a search for shock sensor or NOVA shock sensor (nova is the guy who made a how-to)

hope this helps

sc354,

You might want to try using the search button. This has been discussed ad nauseum in the past.

Same holds true for the stereo question (and, yes, the Bose speakers suck), but you should go over to the electronics forum for more info about that.

the "knob" is generally a screw on the sensor u turn counter/clock wise to adjust sensivity.

good shock sensors can cost 50$.. but i have a 10$ (CAN) 2-stage shock sensor and it's working fine. i heard DEI makes good sensors, but they are more expensive..

i suggest u get a 10$ one and try it. 10$ aint a lot..
