Angry AcuraCare bitez my ballz

Well.. I found out I paid $1300 for an extended "full" warranty that ends up not covering much at all.... condensation/leak in the headlight: not covered. Casing rupture in the rearview mirror: not covered. Windshield wiper smear/streak: not covered (even though there is a TSB!). What a waste. I'm at 65K miles.

Well didn't you remember Honda extended warranty to 100K/7 years for EVERYONE (well certain CL/TL/Accord in certain year)..but the point is, it's free..kinda making ext. warranty a waste of $ now. Smile on that.

What yr is your car? What is the mileage limit on the warranty? It might be time for a new dealer.

Car

My car is a 1999 TL (certified) with 65K miles. I bought it in Houston at Sterling McCall Acura, but right now I live in Kentucky, temporarily, where there are no Acura dealers for hundreds of miles. I took it to the local Honda dealer, who told me that nothing was covered, after calling AcuraCare. What I might do is just get the work done at the Honda dealer, and then deal with Acura in Torrance directly for the reimbursement.

TSBs

Yup, it sure is. It's nasty gunk from the deteriorated tubing. Check out these TSBs:
