Acura TL recall?

Hey guys,

I just purchased a 2003 tl-s last week and just found out about these tranny problems 2 days ago. well anyway I logged into the owners link and under recall info status it says fixed, so does that mean that the oil jet kit has already been installed, and i dont need to worry about scheduling an app. Thanks for the help and sorry if its a stupid ? but i am a newbie.

my guess would be they fixed it before selling it to you. You can call your Acura dealer and have them run the VIN to see if it has been done.

Don't worry. Your transmision will break anyway. You might as well call your local Acura dealership and have them reserve a loaner for you now for when it happens.

Nah, even if your tranny goes (hell, i am on my fourth), they fix it under warrenty and you get a loaner. I don't even bother getting upset about it anymore, Acura 101 West in Calabasas, CA has been very good with service (due to all the trannies dying on me (last one was 300 miles old when it went!) they give me all sorts of free shit, like complete services and oil changes.. hell, they even did a 350 dollar fixing on my home link for free).

Don't worry about it.. drive the car, if the tranny dies, let em fix it and drive the loaner, the rest of the car works just fine. Just make sure you get rid of the TL before you hit the 100k miles.
