Acura Shift Knob

i have is i have seen a lot of pics of TL's (including the pic on woodtrim.com) that show a wood shift knob. my TL did not come with this, it just has a black leather-type one. where can i get a wood one, or the actual acura one that i have seen on these cars?

there are 2 different types of wood shift knobs, just depending on what you want. both you can get from this web site, or from eBay. or from the dealer for lots of $$.

They all should fit unless you have a '99 TL then ur screwed like me cause the thread and diameter is different

As far as I know most of the aftermarket shifters dont screw on the way the TL factory shifter does, they just slide down the shifter shaft and are then held in place with a set screw, so you should be able to get one to fit. I have been considering a Momo Cobra in Briarwood. I know that all the Momo shifters will fit.

He just wants a wood shift knobs. He can ge the Burwood shift knob from Acura that is for the 99 model.....just make sure you get the 99 only model and not the 2000-2001, most aftermarket shifters will just go on and you put a screw in to keep it in place, but these sometimes make it feel flimsy.....depending on design I guess. You can get the Burwood shifter from the Acura Dealer (around 100-120) from this website (99.96+7 shipping) or from acura carland for 100+5shipping)

I consider replacing my shift knobs but I like the leather and just wanted something like the type-s knobs....too bad it won't fit my 99TL.
