ACK!! It's the return of the "I dunno" Ghost!
Thursday night I went out, took my car... As I pulled into my driveway I noticed the low fuel light turn on, so I figured I would refill next time I would be driving my car, which would be saturday night.. So I jump into my car saturday night, as I pull out, my brother is in another car at the curb waiting for me to pull out so he can put that car in the driveway starts brighting me like crazy, then tells me to get out of the car, He then shows me the scratch(I can't see it because that side of the car(passenger) is up close to a wall, so I wouldn't have seen it until it was parked anywhere else other than that driveway.. Anyways, I drive my cousin home(my main intent of driving at that time) and coming hom, I realize my car has a little under a half tank of gas.. So SOMEONE had to have driven my car on friday, but my mom took her car, my brother was at work, my dad was at work, the only person home was my youngest brother. He insists that he didn't drive the car, nobody in the house knows who drove the car and filled up gas on friday! I'm still b!tching about it today from last night and he still insists he didn't drive the car.. I got over it, whoever scratched the car it doesn't matter anymore.. I wanna know who drove !!

How old is your youngest brother? When I was around 13 or so, my best friend and I "borrowed" his brothers Chevelle for a quick joyride through the neighborhood. We ended up somehow going through a cornfield and spent most of the rest of the day picking cornstalks out of the radiator. But we denied knowing anything about how the car got so dirty sitting in the driveway all day. Could be he was curious for a ride and his lack of experience driving didn't make him realize how close the wall was.
all signs are pointing to your brother, but who knows....but from a new driver's point of view, when i first got my car, i almost hit walls and stuff backing out of the driveway. good luck

That would really piss me off! Just like when I had my 97 TL, I was going to sell the chromies off the car an purchase some more rims... The day I was going to take them off my father moves my car out of the driveway and curb rashes 2 of the rims
! I cried!
! I cried!
The damage is bad enough, but if everyone was saying"I dont know" and didnt own up to it, man would I be pissed off!!!!!!!
Thankfully I have the Clifford with BlackJax, no one but me knows the code so no one's going anywhere with my car if I dont know about it. Time to park your car way in the back, toss on the club and take the keys with you, and no one can tell you anything about it especially when no one accepts responsibility and at least says they're sorry.

I wish it was that easy... Unfortunately, there's no way for me to go around this...they will drive, and will continue to drive my car. It's not too bad, I'm really pissed that no one wants to tell me who was driving the car on Friday though.. I don't even car about the scratch anymore.. you can barely see it, and I'll probably have it fixed after the holidays...don't want the metal to rust..I'm seriously considering getting rid of the car and getting something else at this point...Perhaps a Lexus, don't know yet....gotta really convince myself for this one..

Sorry 'bout your misfortune. But since everyone in your family uses your car and no one wants to admit their guilt, it's time to pass the hat around for some monetary dontations for repairing the damage. Otherwise, the club goes on and no one get the key. Best of luck with the repairs.
well, I do plan on collecting from my two brothers to pay to fix it, it's only fair..My brother under me said he'll give me something and the other one under him, the one I believe did it, I will ahve to tell him to give me something once I get a price to fix it..

Nasty scrape! Sorry to hear about that.
It's even worse that you can't trust your family members to come clean with the truth. I've had to deal with lies before. You might want to give this test a try:
So no one will admit fault, but I think the next step would be to individually and privately ask each family member who they think is at fault? Try to convince one brother, that you're absolutely sure that the other brother drove and damaged your car. Say that you plan on making that brother pay for everything and comment on how disappointing it is to you that your own brother would lie to you. Don't say that you hate that brother, just say that you feel betrayed and disappointed. Then stop and ask him how he feels about what you just said.
If he eagerly blames the other brother, then he must either have inside info (like a promise not to tattle on the culprit) or is not very well versed in the art of lying. If he shows hesitation and uncertainty in his response, then he is most likely the guilty brother. I think that it's fairly easy to deny fault, but it's much tougher to pin the fault on someone else who you know is innocent and will see suffer as a result of your own cowardice.
I really think though that you need to find out who did this to your car. For the sake of trustworthiness, it is more important to know that you can trust your own blood again, than to get the car repaired. This is just a suggestion.
