Arrow is the accord chassis really the same as the TLS?

hey everyone, i'm new and this is my first message. i just wanted to know if the accord chassis is the same as a TLS. i bought a neuspeed front upper strut tie bar that goes behind the stock one. the problem was that the strut was made for a 98 & up honda accord. the place where i bought it from said and assured me that it will fit. when i tried to put it in myself, the bar was about 1/4" longer. i brought it back and they told me that when taking corners and alot of tight turns, the body tends to shift and that is why the bar ended up being just 1/4" longer. so what they did was bolt one end of the bar and somewhat forced the other end and bolted that. i asked them if that well damage anything in my car and they just said that in time the car will settle and the bar will just come out straight. i'm just scared that either my bolts will snap or my body would bend. what's your guys' input? please help.

thanks,
neal

The Accord and the TL's uses the same chassis design. I'm sure the Neuspeed strut would fit without problem. I don't think you will run into many problems. Somepeople ran into that problem...they raised the car a bit to let the body flex outward inorder to install it. I think it'll be alright. I'm thinking of getting the Neuspeed strut bar...how much was it? and what color did you get ?

Yes, the neuspeed strutbar for the TLS is the same as the accord 98 and up. I ran to the same problem when installing my chrome strutbar and I had to jack up the car on the driver's side to make it fit.

Yeah you'll be fine. I have it on my 99 and it took a little "nudging" to get it to work.

No offense, ElegantTL, just an opinion (not a rant), and you can take it or leave it, but I think your stripper is annoying.

The TL is a stretched variant of the Accord platform. There is an additional 2" of floor in the rear seat area it also shares much of the internal structure and basic suspension bits.Jens
