Accidents to 2 week TL
Guys,
I can't believed my first post will be a bad one. Anyways, I got a silver TL-S/Nav two week ago. Yesterday, I was driving at probably 50 going in a sort of curvy road when I freakin Corrolla cut into my lane. I guess the corrolla lost control. I tried to steer out of the way, when the car lost control. It make a 270, and the driver side hit a parked cresseida. ****, I just wanted to cry and cry. I was lucky I was able to stay away from the other on-coming lane.
I don't get my a TL-S can lose control like that. I thought the suspension is suppose to be good if not great.
Just needed to air my frustation (stupid toyota)

I doubt that the "spin out" has much to do with your TL ...let me speculate...
Because the majority of the TLs weight is toward the front of the vehicle (I'm going to guess a 60/40 weight ratio) and you were traveling at about 50 MPH and the Corolla "cut you off" you immediately hit your brakes "hard" (who wouldn't) while at the same time turning to avoid the "stoopid toyota"...unfortunately for you the rear end of your car, carrying very little traction due to the brakes full on and your speed, decided to continue moving forward while the front of your car was trying to stop...Physics 101...objects in motion tend to stay in motion...
Probably the only way to have avoided the spin was to brake hard and maintain your line or brake hard, release, and take your new line.
Sorry about your wreck, hopefully they get it fixed to where you won't notice.

same thing happened to a friend of mine a few years back. he was flying down a country road, just a tad above the limit when he came across this sudden turn. he slammed on the brakes anturned, and his car spun ahd slid sideways, all the way up a dirt embankment totaling his car. sucks that it also happened to you.
and hey, i used to drive a corolla, and i wasnt such a bad driver; atleast i didnt think so
just ran through tires too quickly

I was a worse driver 3 years ago??? Hmmm...
I'd like to think I was a part of the minority.
Wait, I just looked in the mirror, and I'm ASIAN!!
Anyways, new TLguy, sorry to hear about your ride.
Hope your body shop will be able to fix up your car
and make it as good as new.
Good luck!
