Acceptable engine idle vibration

Acceptable engine idle vibration
I am a brand new owner of a TLs 03.
What a machine. I am in awe every single time I drive it.
I presently have 1000 miles on it - no kills yet, but getting twitchy feet.
When I am in Park or Neutral...let say ,waiting for my wife to finally get out of the house. I will be focusing on the beauty of the interior and I will feel a vibration pulse every 1 second interval. It is slight, but nonetheless there. The tach needle is stable, not moving around at all.
Is this normal to feel in a brand new Acura a slight engine vibration?

I have had the park/neutral VERY slight rough idle problem since I bought my 2000 TL brand new in June of 2000. I've asked the dealer and other TL drivers and it's normal. Some have said it has something to do with the ECU? Don't worry though, it's just a "characteristic" of the car as Acura would put it.

My '02 TL-S idles rougher than some other Japanese cars I've owned (Nissan). Granted, everything is relative--it certainly idles smoother and quieter than my old '87 Chevy Camaro V8, but it is noticeably louder and rougher than my '97 Nissan Maxima SE. I think it's just the nature of this particular Honda V6.
Had I never owned another Japanese V6 prior to this car I probably would have thought it was smooth as glass.

Can't the dealer adjust the timming to fix the problem? My TL recently ideing slightly rougher then it did before.
You want smooth and non-vibrant idling...get urself into a high end toyota or lexus...I got into a anvalon, and i couldn't even tell it was on...you can't hear it or feel it.

the reason you dont feel any vibration in the avalon is because the steering wheel is hardly connected to the road. it is basically numb, believe me i had one before. the high end lexus however, there is no vibration, and it isnt numb either. but i think there is no vibration cuz the lex is rear wheel drive. remember we have the drivetrain connected directly to our sporty steering rack.

It's more than just the steering wheel, its the entire car. I usually rest my leg/knee on the side of the door and the center console...and i can feel the irregular vibration through my leg/knee. I don't get the with other cars.
With toyota's when you have it in drive (D)it's connected, but when you shift to neutral (N) it disconnects and you will feel the car vibrate a lot less. With hondas it's not the case in (D) or (N) you feel the same amount of vibration. I'm not talking about just steering wheel, talking about the entire car.
