AC takes a while to cool
AC takes a while to cool
Just wondering what's going on with my AC it only blows cool air on start up and gradually gets cold down to 50 degrees in the vent as I drive probly 5+ miles down the road. I have 205k on the clock. What do yall think that the most likely problem could be? my cabin air filter is new and the ac intake below windshield is clear of leafs as well as the condenser is clear.
Just takes a while for it to get cool, it use to be within 20secs of idling it would get very cool. My 99accord 4cyl is cold almost instantly.
Possible my compressor getting weak? I replaced my condenser a year ago but didnt replace receiver. Is this my problem?
It gets cold like a coule hair lines above the green on one of those vent thermometers so probly registers around 47ish once I get going.
Just wanting opinions and maybe preivous encounters yall have ran into

Low charge would be my first guess, but I've never seen a car get really cold in what?, 6-7 minutes? It takes a while to cool off the mass of stuff inside a car that's at 140+ degrees on a hot day. Have someone check the a/c pressures, make sure your cabin filter is clean, and make sure your hot water control valve is fully closed.
