AC/Heater not working at all...

I did the blue dash led conversion but in the process i screwed up my A/C - Heater control.. i bought another one and installed it. All the LEDs work fine, but the A/C / Heater doesnt turn on at all. There's nothing I can do.

What could possibly be wrong? I already checked the fuse on the driver side...

Help me! I'm desperate

are you sure Every thing is plugged in.? Changing lights shouldn't have any effect on the controls.

Yep everything is properly plugged in.

Would it be possible that when i plugged my defective control it messed up something else in the A/C system and now even though i have a new control it doesnt work cuz of that?

It could be the thermostat in the car dying on you the same time you installed the LEDs, maybe? I'd think it would be that part ... independent of changing the gauges.

Wait a sec ... maybe I'm not understanding clearly ... the A/C + heat "doesn't work" in the sense that ... if you turn the knob ... no air moves? Or does air move through the vents but it's always cold? If it's no air ... I have no idea what caused that!

there is NOTHING happening whatever I do. No air blowing, no cold, no heat. The LCD doesnt even turn on. Only the lights work.

I'd check all fuses that are related to the heating/cooling system....I know there are a couple under the hood. It wouldnt hurt to check. And when you hook up the climate control.....does your outside ambient temp on the cluster work or is it still 3 dashes?

If you can get a hold of a Helm's manual look at pgs. 21-8 to 21-9.

The HV/Ac system has a self diagnostic so you can retrieve any DTCs

In short with the car not running turn the ignition key to run (position II). On the climate control cluster first push the Auto button and then the Off button and hold them in for about a minute. If there is any abnormality in the system certain segments of the temp (the digits in the HV/AC unit, not where the speedo and tach are) digits will light up. There's fourteen possibilties here. If the first digit looks like an upside down "U" then there is an open circuit in the common ground wire of the sensors.

But each segment that make up the "88" numbers indicates a different sensor.

Do this and post what it says if anything. We can look it up for you.

More things to check: (From pgs. 21-10 to 21-11)

-Blown fuse No. 54 (40amp) in the under hood fuse/relay box, No. 3 (7.5 amp) in the driver's under dash fuse/relay box, and No. 13 (7.5 amp) in the passengers under dash fuse/relay box.

-Poor ground at No. G401 (where ever that is)

-Cleanliness and tightness of all connectors (duh).

I'm having trouble with my climate control system and found this thread. I tried the diagnostic and its 88 with the lowest segment of the second 8 visible when it flashes.

Anyone know what this means?

Thanks

The bottom horizonal segment of the second digit indicates a problem in the blower motor circuit. The manual doesn't specify exactly what though. But it's a place to start.
