Started the TL up at lunch and the TCS and ABS lights remained on solid. Tried hitting the TCS button but had not effect.
Turned the car off then on again and back to normal.
Anyone ever seen this?

 

if it does it again id get teh code read. If not i wouldnt worry about it.

 

Do you need the tool for the '00 or can I just short a few terminals?

 

I get that sometimes. I turn off the car and turn it back on and it is gone.

 

i had my vsa and abs on and it turned out to be the VSA/ABS modulator was bad....but my car wouldnt reset by turning it off

 

you need a tool to scan it as far as i know. Go to a place like auto zone or parts stroe that offers free diagnostics and see if they come up with a code

 

I was at the meet in the bay area yesterday... and on my way, i filled up at some 76 station cuz i was about out of gas, and couldnt find a shell. Anyway, i start the car back up and get on the freeway, all of a sudden my check engin light comes on... i was like WTF!! and not be4 the meet!!! but the car drove fine... thought it may have been the gas cap, but no, it was pretty tight.. and also.. the TCS light comes on every so often, ever since the check engin light came on. and i cant turn it off. So, WTF! anyone have any ideas? well i couldnt get it to my dads shop this weekend cuz they were closed, but ill get it over there tomorrow to have the code ran. -chris

 

all we would be doing by guessing on why a light comes on is GUESSING. Especially if the car is running fine. as for why the TCS light would come on, it usually comes on any time the check engine light comes on. Its the way honda has it programed.

 

ok, so i had the code ran today at my dads shop.. a few cylinder misfires. probably needs a tune up? just passed 80,000 miles on my 99 TL. also, could this some how be realated to me just having the UR S crank pulley installeda few days ago?

 

miss fire could be acouple thngs. It could be bad plug/s coil pack or O2 sensor causing it.

thats good news... ill prob. get a tune up if i get the check engin light again... or atleast that is what my dad said
