99TL tranny problem

I have a 99 TL and my dealer is putting in its second tranny. The first time I took the car in for a normal maintenence not even knowing the car had a tranny problem. The dealer said that the car would be getting a new tranny. The second time I go in there telling them the car does not shift right or smoothly and they ignore it and say nothing is wrong. I go back this last week for a brake job and a possible tranny and they say no. I get mad and tell them to take me along. There is nothing wrong with the tranny in the words of slipping and misshifting . the car is just not smoothly shifting, only taking a long time. The thing that is wrong with the car is when you put it into reverse after driving it for a good 10 min it grinds for 3 seconds. The technician said that was enough to condem the tranny and they are in the process of putting a new one in. Is this gonna keep happening??

Cant tell ya. I had my new tranny put in my 99 in March... and it slipped for the first time yesterday. I just about had a shit fit. Mine has been working fine since I got the new one installed.... so I guess if it keeps slipping I'll bring that shit back and go for my 3rd tranny.

Quich questions for both ya'll. How many miles were on your cars when you started having this issue? I also have a 99TL which I bought in Feb and I haven't had any issues yet.

Well my 99 TL tranny started slipping at ~91K miles. Just had the new tranny installed. So far so good.

Mine started acting like a nitwit at 97K... and it slipped again the other day at 115K... no other signs of slippage though since then.
