99 TL ABS & TCS Lights Came On

So I have been on this forum for years and the info has been nothing shy of great. I have had my car since 1998. Brought it brand new and runs great. Same amount of power when I first drove it off the lot. Now the Texas heat has destroyed her paint and has 233,000 miles. On Friday, I was driving home and the ABS light came on. It has never come on. A few minutes later, the TCS light came on as well. I was driving home and had about 3 miles to get home. A few seconds later, the dash went completely black. Engine running fine still. Next the headlights went out. I ran every late and got home. Couldn't get her back into park, so I had to use the override via key to get into park finally. I tried starting her, but it wouldn't turn over. The next day she started fine, but I didn't try driving her. The battery is brand new. The only other thing I noticed was that there was a large hesitation going past 30, but once it did, it was fine.
Any advice or is my baby coming to its end. I really don't want to let her go.

Electrical gremlins? Other posters have talked about all sorts of issues when the ground wires make poor contact. Battery ground wire, there is one to the transmission and maybe some others. Worth a look.

Thanks. Battery is brand new and the cables are new as well. Going thru the forum and saw the same lights with a clogged EGR. I will look at that as well.

Crap, thought it would be a fix like the egr valve clean. Any particular reason you said that.

I like it - bad alternator fits the symptoms of losing electrical power. Eric the Car Guy has a video on testing an alternator.

Got it, just saw the video. Will pick up a volt tester and see what happens. Thanks!

Jumped her last night and started. Soon as I disconnected the battery it died. So I ordered a recycled alternator. Anyone have a video on how to remove it. Or tips? Thanks for the all the good advice
