Hey, ok this weekend was not as productful, but pretty productful. I mean, first off, I got the Philips HID 6000k fog ballast and bulbs kit, Philips 6000k bulbs for low beams, and the Ebony Wood Wheel, from a guy for $500. Good Deal in my opinon but when I got there, one of the low beam bulbs were chipped from the top, so I decided to still take everything for $450, and was just going to buy another bulb. But I decided to take my chances with installing the broken bulb to see how it would go and so far great!! Some of you's prolly thinking that Im crazy!!

I was only able to install the Low Beams, took me and my good friend about 1.5 hrs, because, We aren't too car savy, and aslo, it took us a long time to get those dam Bulb Covers twisted off, it was on sooo dam tight! But the directions on this forum from previous members helped amazingly!! So thank you to all!!

Now, I didnt have chance to take pics yet, cuz its not dark outside, but when I put one bulb in and left the stock HID bulb in, the stock HID bulb looked like it was Halogen!! I can not wait till night fall so I can see the lights and their tru effect. But when I look at the lights right now in day light, it looks like the BMW color output now!! It is hott!! Best Appearance Mod in my opinion.

Now, I couldnt do the modification for the fog lights because it was raining on and off today here in NY so I didn't want to do it. Just stopped with the Low Beams. I will do that sometime this week and I can't wait to see how it will look!! I will put up pics of the lights but I dont know how good I can capture the lighting.

The only thing Im worried about now, is the dam bulb exploding in my housing. But some people on this board and other people that I know told me that it wouldnt be that big of a deal. Ne wayz, just wanted to tell you about my new mod!! Excited thas all!!

I have a question for you. How did you get the bumper out I plan to just change the bulbs myself on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you can post a link that would be great. I got the phillips ultinion 6000k as well I can't wait. Also changed the hi beams to silver stars.

Bumper?? What Bumper.. I didnt do the Fogs yet.. I myself am planning to do it on either Wednesday or Sunday of this week! I just did the low beams for now.

hey quick question, are 6000k bulbs illegal? all u do is change bulbs right, no need for new ballast or anything right?

 

6000K are legal to buy, but i believe illegal to use (go figure), but cops cant tell.


U dont need new ballasts, just swap the bulbs
