6000k D2S installed! questions

First, Okay so all you guys that say you have to mod the D2S bulbs, THANKS ALOT! for makin me waste my time by going and buying a dremel tool and dremeling the first bulb, when i noticed it was dremeled for no reason, then the second bulb i put in without the mod but i did it in a hurry so its pointin a lil lower then the other one. But it went in?? Maybe you guys wit the 02 TL's and up have to do that mod. Can someone give me an explaination of why everyone did this mod?

Second, How long does it take for the true color of the 6000k's to show, I wasnt too impressed with them as much as i thought i would be. Do they get more bluer/purplish? or do they stay the color they are right now? (I installed Philips 6000k D2S bulbs just for your info). thanks

Ok... well about the mod I dont know, I had to dremel out a little cut out to get mine in, so I dont knwo why you didnt. Second... the 6000K's should be bluer/purplish compared to your stock bulbs right off the bat, if you dont think it is, put the stock bulb in one and put the 6000K in the other, step back and take a look. Guarantee you the 6000K side will make the other stock side look like your running halogen bulbs in there. Clear indication that 6000K is bluer.

Actually now that I think about it, the new bubls might come ready for D2S and D2R, the only difference will be the refliective shieldo n the D2R bulb. But Im not sure on this, so someone woould have to confirm.

Well they are bluer but i was expecting a bit more, I saw the difference from the OEM one but looking at them head on its not like omgg they look so sweet, maybe cuz i only saw them at night only once? But does the color change after a while, i heard someone saying that the true color comes out after like a month or two.

What color are you looking for? The really fake blue look of Cool_Blues? If you are trying to get the look of a BMW or Mercedes you won't be able to with our headlights, ours are setup for reflector not projector. I believe they are making HID lights higher than 60k but you will loose more visibility the higher you go.
