I didnt get the whole CL interior assembly. My interior is stock TL other than the gauges, parking brake, and cup holder. Read the 2 threads to see what was used, the parts list and pics
At the moment, it's been less than a month.. so far and I've got the bulk of parts.. it's just the little things here and there that'll have to save up to get. 3TL, how much did your transmission cost you? If you already have the type-S, this will be one damn cheap mod for you compared to the amount we're spending. lol
with shipping the transmission cost me close to 2 grand. my tl is not a type s. I still need to get a Exedy stage 2 clutch and fly wheel. im basically rebuilding the engine too, so it going to take me longer along with the JE pistons, crower rods, etc. but once i get started with all parts i'll keep you posted.

Did you ever put together a parts list for this thread? I was wondering if you had to swap the two TDC sensors behind the front Cam plate from the Auto sensors to the Manual sensors in addition to the front cam pulley? Thanks
Well I finally threw together a parts list. There were some misc bolts used, but i got abunch of them from the local hardware store grade 8s)
Engine. J32A2 If needing a new engine look for a CLs-6 motor (if not see below *)

*If you use the J32A2 from the Auto you will need these parts (all from the CLs-6)
Front cam pulley 14260-PGE-A11
Front plate assembly (behind cam pulley) 11860-PGE-A10
Timing belt pulley(lower) 13621-PGE-A11
Crank shaft sensor 37500-PGE-A11 (this little shit costs $500.00)
Subharness for CKP 37501-PGE-A10
TDC Sensors (Qty 2) 37840-PGE-A11
TDC SUB HARNESS 37841-PGE-A10
If you dont already have the Type-s you will want the IMRC 37850-PGE-A01
Brake/Gas pedal assembly from either the accord or CLs-6. (i modified mine)
If you decide to buy it new BRAKE PEDAL ASSY 46600-S3M-A51
Clutch pedal. (this can be from a few cars, i took mine from a 90s civic. it was almost a direct bolt in.
It uses 3 points to bolt in only 2 lined up. I modified a bolt and shim to make it bolt up in the 3rd spot)
If you decide to buy it new you will need the pedal and mount CLUTCH PEDAL 46910-S3M-A01 & CLUTCH PEDAL BRACKET 46990-S84-A01
MASTER CYLINDER ASSY 46922-S3M-A01 & Clutch Fluid Tank 46965-S5A-013, & Clutch Hose 46961-S3M-A02
(i used the one from the civic i pulled the clutch pedal out of)
Things im not sure if you will need but i bought.
Relay box assembly (under hood) 38250-S3M-A21
Shift Boot 83414-S3M-A01ZA
Shift Knob 54102-SL0-023ZB
If you have a header you will either have to have the XS header or COmptech header for the manual. Other wise it wont fit
You will be able to reuse the stock manifolds
If you already ahve a Type-s you MAY Not need these????
Right side cabin to engine comp harness 32100-S3M-A12
Left side cabin to engine comp harness 32120-S3M-A20
I Would attempt with out (that i bought and used with out trying without first) It will make not having to do all the rewiring of
that i did.
Upper instrument harness 32117-S3M-A31
Lower dash harness 32150-S3M-A32

i have a major problem. i used a 04 6 Speed tranny in my 03 CL which was already a 6 speed but i changed my tranny because i had bent shift forks and what not.
anyways the 04 tranny does not seem to have a senser on the top that the orignal CL tranny had so because of that my car is stuck in safty mode and wont let me rev any higher than 2K RPM's.

Well today i had the first problem with the 6 speed. I had the Slave Cyl go bad on me. It was kinda fun driving 20 miles with no working clutch....
Though it was a easy 15 min fix including the bleeding.

Yep, only wish i had done it 4 years sooner
Oh and its got the same clutch at over 100k with many lapping days. The ONLY trans Honda knows how to build is a Manual trans!

Hey whats up guys? I have a little problem. This is my second 6 speed swap that I have done.
The first I used Richies harness.
The second is the one im working with now which I went the other route and purchased the CLS6 wire harness, ecu, and sensors. But the problem is I have 4 wires that my 01 CLS does not show in the ETM.
First: yel/blu (vcc3)
Second: blk/red (sg3)
Third: wht (rvslck)
Fourth: blu/wht (clsw)
I also can't get the car to turn over.
Any ideas on what I've missed? Thanks guys.

I havent programmed the ECU yet but thats not the main problem.
Yes the immoblizer light is flashing.
But its not cranking at all like if the clutch pedal has to be pushed in. (No turning over sound / engine not rotating)

When i pushed it the pedal went to the floor and never came back. Its like brakes after changing a caliper. Until you bleed the air out and get fluid to the caliper the pedal doesnt really move with much feel (only reason it has any feel in brakes is there are 3 others putting some pressure back)
if mine already has the type s engine do i need to replace it.??

fsttyms1 your my hero.
When my auto tranny went last month I was thinking about asking em to install the 6 speed tranny instead. I doubt they would do it.. I haven't heard of anyone that has changed it to the 6 speed.
Can't wait to hear about the results. Keep us posted with pics too!
Good luck

Not worth it unless you got the extra cash. Luckily in your case they made the CL's in manual in S 6 speed. If it was a TL then yeah why not
Hi , I have a 2003 TL Type S and i am planning on doing this 6 speed swap . What would I need and how much do you think it would cost? Would I just have to bolt on the new transmission ? as far as engine/transmission goes
