will there be one...i heard there will definately be a '04 TL-S, but will it be available in 6 spd. like the CL now is.??.(they do use the same trannies)...also, will the 2004 TL-s be any different from the current TL-s (engine specs, bodystyle)???

 

Rumor has it that 2004 TL will be totally redesigned.

Yes The 2004 will have a new Body Style and its gotta have at least 280 HP on TYPE S because its the brother of Accord and look how nice the Accord is.. I heard it has Intelligent Cruise Control and A lot, LOT, LOT, MORE GOODY's ... its gonna come with lots of little electronic goodys that only have been seen in a Mercedes-Benz they are trying to compete with More Expensive cars.. It will be very nice.. I was getting a 2003 Accord and Totally changed my mind and am waitinf or 2004 TL TYPE S... it has to be GOOD!! its worth waiting.. if I were you and buying a car I would wait.. The TL SHould be out Spring MAYBE or latest Fall.. It will be shown at a Show in January so just wait...

 

i have a '01 CL-s and was planning on trading for a '03 6 spd...I hope the TL redesign isn't ugly...will pricing be the same? most importantly, will it be available in 6 spd.???

 

Wow, you sound like you WORK for Honda 2004TL.

We'll just never know until the next Auto Show. I can't wait to see it myself.

As for the 6 speed. that's a maybe, but I highly doubt it. But hey, you can dream right?

As for pricing, it will never stay the same. It always goes up, if you haven't noticed.

That's how it was with the current generation, and I just don't see Acura releasing both the TL and the Type - S simultaneously ... (at least a 6-month gap)..

If that's the case 2004TL, you'll be waiting for at least 11/2 year.

But then again this is Acura we are talking about ... NO one seems to know what they plan to do ! They sure know how to keep a secret. Shhhhhh!!!!

3.2 CL, and 3.2 CL came out at the same time....it was only the 3.2 TL that didn't come out with a TYPE-S untill 2 years (?) later...anyway...any info on the 2004 TL-S ??? maybe some spy pics, January is a long time away, and for some reason i feel Honda/Acura is really gonna Fuk up the look of the TL...i mean, look at the new accord, i don't know how long that's gonna take to grow on me...!!!

 

Like 2004TL said.. by Jan. we should know some specifics. Right now everything is rumors. The car should be out in late '03 as an '04. 280HP is the reported spec for the TL-S... and i'd guess the TL-P will see around 240, matching the new Accord. The refreshed 2002 TL and TL-S came out at the same time, so the same should be true for the redesign.....

It's really up in the air what it will look like... you never know with Honda/Acura....

Not sure if you'll see a manual on the TL. It's possible, but I haven't heard any indication regarding it.....
