Does anyone here have done the 3G TL flip key with remote control conversion?
Or any link that I can look at?
Thanks.

Yeah I'm guessing only the key works and he just uses the buttons on the other remote to unlock and lock the car.

yea but u still need a chipped key, well for my compustar system i do, doesnt look like his is a compustar, so it could be that the immobilizer is completly disabled, and any key can work...

I've seen the mod detailed in another forum. It involves machining the metal key to match and swapping the chip as I recall. The finished product is fully functional.

I think some took the chip from their valet key and had a new main key cut.

how does the chip work? Does it have to be in the key or can you just secure it inside the FOB?

Its like a little bead. In both cases its in the plastic portion.

You could remove the chip and glue it to your steering column and then use any metal key that fits the hole if you wanted to.
