as i mentioned two days ago i raced a guy after school from a light a black is 300 and i beat him about a car length. and when i come back to school i find out that the person was a guy in my school because he came up to me today and told me it was him and told me if i wanted to go at it again. so i said why not so after school we both drove into a empty alley this time with no one around and we lined up our cars. and he said we would go when he honked his car at the third time we would go. and when he honked for the third time we went he had a better start then i did cause i kinda messed up those things take off pretty quick, i was in automatic mode the whole way and he was using tiptronic i didnt even use my sport shift cause i dont know how to use it too well but anyways he was half car length ahead of me for the first 4 seconds and then my vtec kicked in with the sound of aem intake
i ended up beating him by a 3/4 of a car length. and when he pulled up to me he said he messed up at the end because he was scared he was gonna hit a parked car which was like not even close to us. :o :o yea right pal haha i just smiled and drove off to victory. if i would of used sport shift i know i could beat him even more.. but thats TLS---2 IS300---0 hahha!!

Advice to IS300 owners
I was just messin' around with this IS300 last weekend on the freeway... and it wasn't really a matter of who's car was faster... but who's better at racing around in moderate traffic, passing other cars on the freeway... anyway, this guy kept getting caught in "pockets." I was just laughing... It was at night... and everytime he got near me, I can see him coming a mile away, cause of the of the yellow lights... so, I'd just take off again... he never caught up to me...
so the advice for IS300 owners... when you're racing a TL-S at night... turn off those damn yellow lights... they give you away

Hmmmm...racing at night in moderate traffic, sounds like a recipe for an accident.

My point is: anything can happen... you can slip and break your back walking out to your car.
But just so you know... I don't race very often... and it wasn't much of a race... it was just "weaving" in and out of traffic. Like who here doesn't do that? We all do that... when we're late for something, right?

Your backing out story is intriguing. I agree with you that trouble lies everywhere, and the obvious causes are always most readily used to justify blame. however, just because dangerous situations can happen at any moment doesnt mean you should create more dangerous situations!
Be cautious in driving at all times!

Oh, believe me... I know... I have not fear for the GS300, but we're NOT even in the same league with the GS400, and GS430. Then again... I don't think the IS300 is in ours either.

Racing around in moderate traffic - now that's dangerous. I usually let the crazy mofos go and kill themselves.

Today, when I was backing out of my driveway.... this car comes out of nowhere going at least 40mph, and nearly hits me...

But why ask for trouble?
