Angry 2nd tranny gone!

Well here is the story. I took in my car a couple of weeks ago. The tranny was shifting hard 2nd to 3rd gear. The guy in the service dept. said I needed a new tranny and he would order one.
About 2 weeks later the tranny comes. I took it in today to get the new one put in. They called me about 4 hours later and said it was done. I picked the car up from the dealership and pulled out of the parking lot and the damn thing would not shift. I made a U turn walked back in and told the service guy what happened. The service guy said he would have them look at it right then. So I waited for a liittle while. Then this mechanic came in from the garage and said that the tranny was fried and they would order a new one. I exploded! They said it would take at least 2 more weeks to get my car back. I think I used every foul word I know just then. The service guy was feeling my wrath. I feel bad about it now. But on the other hand I got 2003 CL-S 6 speed for a loaner. I like it but there is no room for passengers and its a pain it the ass putting my baby back there. Two door cars suck! I sure hope the 3rd tranny lasts longer. I also know what car I am getting next. Audi S4 340 hp awd 6 speed! Amen!!!

I hear ya. I had the same problem with my 2nd transmission, that is it was whining immediately after I drove it off the lot. You would think a test drive by the dealership would find this problem b4, especially since yours did not shift.

If i got a 6M CL-S to loan, the dealer would see his clutch and tire bill for that car skyrocket

Sorry to hear about your tranny. I can't believe they didn't road test the car after a transmission replacement.

BTW, that's one awesome loaner you got.

I got my car back today. Things seem to be normal. I hope. I will miss the 6 speed CL-S. I enjoyed have a standard shift. I wish there was a 6 speed TL-S. I need a 4 door car though. I sure hope the 3rd tranny last the rest of the time I have this car. I am getting tired of taking it to the shop to get fixed. The dealership that I take my car has bent over backwards for me. This last time they cleaned my K&N air filter, gave me new wipper blades, and a free oil change. When my wife trades her CRV in for a MDX. I will buy it from them for sure.
