2nd Tranny done
so I was installing some screens in my TL last wknd..I go to turn my car on and all the lights on my instrument panel are blinking and whatnot(D5 is blinking, Oil Light, VSA, Cruise button dont work, and of coarse only gears 1>2 work...fuck so I get it towed to Park Ave Acura...yep it was the tranny it went agai..last about 20,000 miles..thank god for the 100k warranty..They said i will have my car next wk so for now the dealership is paying for my Kia Rio i rented..yes a beater car for a wk..

My 02 TLs is now in Sunnyvale Acura to transmission repair too.. this original one
lasted about 65K and cooked. They rented me a
Nissan Sentra... it had 950 miles on it.. I will drive as far as I can over the weekend..
Sigh that transmission is so bad... I love my TLs, but will definitely get rid of it before
100K miles..

I just got my tranny replaced at 35k. I mean now this new tranny feels better...but I just have a feeling if I gun it a few times...this tranny going to crap out. :sigh:

I got a chevy malibu...woohooo, ugly ass thing. It took them about 2 weeks to get mine all replaced. I sure did beat the piss out of that malibu though.

just out of curiosity..do replacment trannys last as long and performe as well...where do they get all these "extras"

my experience was that the replacement tranny was not as good as the orginal in terms of smoothness. I could no long down shift to 3rd gear above certains speeds like I was with the original tranny.
