2k2TLS vs. S2000 Which One?
Yes. I am confused. I stopped at a light the other day in my wife's oddessey. She was driving. A red S2000 pulls up driver side, top down (Yeah, FLA!!!). My Daughter (4 y.o.) says "I like that red car". My wife comes from behind and stealthily says "that is the car you should have gotten". I just whacked my head against the dashboard.
I always wanted the S2000 (red, black, silver, white, whatever). I got the TL-S because of all the benefits and because I thought we needed the 4 doors. She (wife) continues... "I mean, your back windows have rarely been lowered, It isn't like you have the child seats in the back, more so, your back seats are pristine. We already have a 'family car' (van)."
So I looked her straight in the eyes and asked if she was serious. "YES" she said.
As soon as I got home I went on-line to check prices. 32K?!?!?
She waited a whole year to tell me this. Now she has me like a teenage boy who just discovered sex.
my 2k2 is high milage (19k a year) althought thoroughly and meticulously maintained. It is washed every weekend (when possible) never smoked in.
Should I trade for an S2000 and all its real driver benefits or will my spoiled ass miss all the TL-S is about.
...now where is that dashboard again...?

S2000
I went from S2000 to TL-S believe me the S2000 is cool for the first couple of months, its just smaller than life and after a while it just wasnt practical. Believe me I loved the car I wish I could have one just for the weekend to cruise around just not a great everyday ride compared to the TL-S. But if you have a choice, I also say dump the Van forget the S2000 and get a 350Z...
I have attached the picture of our new 350Z

Bottomline: If you have a wife and kids (like I do), a two seater as a 2nd car is not an option. In our case, we have a Quest SE as a primary car and the Max is our secondary car. If the Quest goes to the shop for more than a day (which it has several times) and we had..say...a 350Z instead of the Max, then I'm forced to rent a car to accomodate all four of us, if needed. Thus having a 4dr sedan as backup is necessary.
Now, as a third car (which I'm almost in the market for) the S2K or Z (or even a used NSX) are things I'd consider.
Just my $.02.
Peace.

Woah. I believe the S2000 is just like a motor cycle, and your answers have made me consider holding my current position (keep the van - which ain't bad at all, 240 ponies and a very nice ratio'd 4 speed auto transmision. Goes 120 mph as smooth as my TL-S). Maybe as a third car (toy) or after the 2k5 is in production (i hear that is going to be fun) I'll acquire the coveted S2000.

The only appeal of the S2000 for me right now is the CONVERTIBLE factor and lower fuel consumption. Two reasons why the FABULOUS Z (does that car sound sweet from the outside or what?!?!?!?!:wow: ) ain't even a consideration.
Thanx again, y'all.

The Z is coming out in a convertible soon....just to make it more of a consideration!
I hope I never get a mini van! I'm with Monte....a nice, spacious, practical E55, M5, or RS6 will do when I have a family!
