on the cd player, is there a mode where you can see the timer for each song when playing a track on the cd? all there is, is just the track number that appears... is that standard? or can you change it? hehe stupid question but i really dont know.

The POS stock HU doesn't even play CD-R's, it would be a miracle if it were capable of playing MP3's.

lol, i spent a half hour on this before, looking through manuals and searching online. I can't believe they did this. It's like using a tape player b/c you can't see where you are in a song. However, hating the sound coming out of the system has replaced my anger w/ it not displaying the timer.

if ur rich find an unused laptop in the house, or u can buy a cheap one. Get a 7" touchscreen and use the cassette tape to headphone jack (sound quality isn't too bad) get media engine and ur good

Its not the only way. You can get an alpine 6 disc MP3 changer and hook it up with a blitzsafe that will play throught he factory radio.
