Hey guys, my dads been working on putting together some LED Tails for our 2G TL here. This is what we have so far. Also, the original brightness of the tailights can be dimmed or made brighter depending on your preference. He also plans to go around the side with LED's, and possibly the turn signal and reverse light.

They look great so far.. i would finish up the rest of the red part and do the turn signals. As for reverse, it'll be just a waste of LED's. Leave it stock and just buy a replacement LED or install a Reverse HID kit. Simple and easy, say incase the reverse LED burns out, itll be easy to replace.

I would buy these in a heart beat. Looks AWSOME!!!!! Wrap around LEDs and turn signals would be even better. How much? When can I get these? Someone else was doing this and there were so many A-Zine members that were ready to buy but never got to finish the project. I'm sure there's plenty of people still interested in this. Nice job.

Yeah were working on that now, as for the reverse lights, we will probabaly leave it stock. Running out of LEDs, gonna have to order more

Ill make a list of people who are interested and let you know when more sets will be available. Dont expect it to be anytime soon as we need to finish this set and get more Tails LEDs figure out a cost etc..

Thanks, a price and date for sales has not been determined. My dads a pretty busy guy and these tails arent exactly his first priority right now. ill let keep you guys updated though!

But have you looked at DeathMetal's LED set up?
maybe you could get some ideas because I really liked the design it added , and no knock to you but i was never fond of just a cluster of LEDs, add some design flair! But I know its hard work.
Keep it up though looks GREAT so far!

Thanks guys! everything is still a working progress though! I think my dad said he is also going to make one where its not so much a cluster but every other LED. We ran out of LEDs also, so were currently waiting for some in the mail, hopefully they come soon Keep you guys posted.

Wow, nice job! I think we should get a list of everyone interested in getting these made. I don't know how much more enthusiasm I can muster but I would LOVE to have these on my TL!

 

Nice work dude. LEDs give a much more modern look. Something I would love to have. I noticed DeathMetal was mentioned and his LED tail light project, last I read he gave up, I'm interested in seeing the results of his customization. Where would I find his pics?

You should have upgraded to the 02-03 assemblies. Its a much better/classier set-up imo. Those amber lenses just look bad to me. Great LED upgrades though.
