Yup!

I have just crossed the 200K The other day!

On the original Trans from Acura, but it has the Blue Bolts. So I guess you can say, original OEM Rebuild lol

Yep blue bolds mean it was replaced at some point by acura.....how many miles did it have when you bought it. I could be wrong but I thought blue bolts indicated one replaced by acura post 2005 which there was a fix making it a better trans...

Nope... It would still go to just less likely because of the oil jet.

They didn't replace it with a post 2005 transmission, where did you hear that.

If you want to keep it long term, replace it with a V6 tranny from an Accord . There's a huge thread on this subforum regarding this topic

I WAS MISTAKEN. blue bolts just mean acura replaced it at some point....doesnt even mean an oil jet was installed i dont think because I swear Ive seen a blue bolt with no oil jet kit installed....and theres a thread on here somewhere where a blue bolt trans failed in like 15 mins iirc. I did read however that after 2005 acura began replacing them with better transmissions with an internal fix (not an oil jet) Im looking for the link now....personally id go AV6 if i went automatic just like you said. This has been proven and talked about all over the forums. Ill hang on to my six speed....feel bad for the AT people. Thanks for clearing up my misinformation.

"Question" My 2003 TL Type S currently has 230K. I bought it in June 2013 w/ 196K. To date, the transmission still performs properly. I don't baby the car, but i don't dog it either, and i rarely use the "sport shift" feature. I do engage VTEC two or three times a week, at least, in an attempt to keep everything running smoothly. ( No blue bolt heads on the transmission, and no oil jet.) The main reasons i bought this particular car, after a two year search, in addition to it's overall condition, color and trim combination, White Pearl / Black trim, is that i was told by a veteran Acura Master Tech, that 2G transmissions bearing the P7W A87 RMK designation, which is printed on a separate white label, located above the main bar code label on the front of the transmission, indicates the RMK transmission as the post 2005 B7WA model, with updated internal components, to including additional oiling support as well as heavier friction material on the clutch discs. Although i have not been able to confirm that the RMK designation actually indicates the updated internals, this transmission still operates flawlessly. Can any one confirm that the RMK designated transmission actually represents the post 2005 updated model?

299, 000 and counting

The transmission has 200,000 miles on it and the shift from 2nd gear to 3rd is starting to get a little sloppy so it might be time to move on.

My son now owns the car and when I bought it in 2003 I was thinking 10 years or 300,000 whichever comes first, now it's whichever comes last.

379k and counting

My 2003 3.2TL in silver color has reached 379k past weekend and counting... (No Navigation and base model)

Never did any mods to it and owned it since 2005 November when it had 53k on the odo. Dealer did the transmission recall but I have been replacing transmission fluid with Honda fluid every 25k-30k miles. Car is still on original transmission and shifts like a charm. Motor is also feeling strong.

-- Ran through several sets of tires, brakes, etc. Lost the count :-)
-- Replaced all fluids and filters on time
-- Replaced tranny bypass filter couple of times (around 150k and then around 320k)
-- Replaced timing belt, water pump and idlers, seals etc. 4 times with last one being around 3k miles ago
-- Replaced struts, upper control arms, lower control arms, ball joints, CV axles etc.
-- Replaced all motor and transmission mounts
-- Replaced starter around 220k with one from Autozone with lifetime warranty, that starter failed around 360k and replaced again for free
-- Alternator is still original and no body parts ever had to fixed as it has been scrape free over the years.

Known Issues:

-- Crappy radio went out around 180k with error codes.
-- Tried aftermarket radio for a year but then stock amplifier went bad so no radio for a while now. Not worth spending money there.
-- Tried multiple things to fix P0505 that keeps coming sporadically. Tried standard motor IACV, OEM used IACV from salvage yard, Amazon knock-offs etc. Made sure there is no vaccum leak. For some reason idle bouncing keeps coming back every month or two and then it goes away for a while.
