The 2006/2007 Accord Transmission into a 2000 TL

I have a 2000 Acura TL that just recently has been giving me transmission problems. I've read up a lot on how, many 2nd gens have bought a used 06 or 07 Honda Accord tranny and it was easy to make the conversion. My only problem is I am not sure how exactly it works. I need some help with some explanations.

This is my first time posting and if there is a post that was made that could answer my question, please redirect me there.

Thank you very much!

I did the same swap about 9 months ago without any issues.....couldn't be happier unless, of course, I had gone with the 6MT swap!

Is the odyssey tranny the same swap or is there more to it? I have a 2003 type-s and found an 07 odeyssey trans with 37k for 650 locally.

Welcome Deadbirdjb !!!
The '07 Oddy tranny should work ok. May require some extra effort, IDK for sure....perhaps someone who has already used the Oddy tranny will chime in to help ya out with details.

I seem to remember from my research that it was only the late 05 and 06 transmission for the Odyssey. The 07 under went a design change. I am not 100% but I know the info is in one of the 1000 transmission thread. I wish I was more certain. Good Luck.

Yup 07 was the redesign for the Odyssey, 05-06 is the one you want for your 03 TL.

Your PM is full so I couldn't reply. As you can see the 07 Odyssey transmission won't fit your application. Both the AV6 and Odyssey are great replacements for our OEM Grenades. Most guys prefer the AV6's gearing over the Odyssey.
