Thumbs up 2003's for $29,000

I have ran across 2 dealerships in the Maryland/DC area willing to sell 2003's Type S' for around $29,000 flat. They cannot do such good deals with cars with navigation. Thats $29k plus tax/tags... all fees and destination charges are included in that figure. If anoyne is interested in the information of these internet sales manages, feel free to email me at venom_700@hotmail.com. I'm looking to buy one as soon as I get my current car sold, and I was hoping if a few more of you guys are interested in this area... if we all bought from the same dealership, we can get an even better deal. The one guy said they want to move their cars so bad, that they would consider going into their holdback. -Brian

Let me get this straight

$29k plus tax/tags for a TL S (without navigation)?

That sounds too good to be true as they are selling below cost! Dealers have been known to give great deals at the end of the month to meet sales deadlines but this is just unbelievable!

As always, please be careful. Ask questions, check the mileage, check for hail damage, paint touchups etc etc. and make sure you are getting a brand new car.

Cheers,

-Tom

This is for 03's .... and I was told I can get one right off the truck... with just a few miles on it.... my choice of cars. They have such a high stock right now... they want to move them... and that price is not below dealer cost... its their invoice including their dealer "charges".... so they are still making their approx. $900 holdback when selling it at that price... with the salesman willing to take a small % for his take. He also said I can get financing in the high 5% range from him.

Hmm...If he is selling you the car at $29K, that very roughly equates to (in texas)

Sales price $27,500 + (TTL + dest + all other stuff) $1,500

Great deal!

-Tom
PS: Would he give you the same deal if you were to pay full cash? Just curious?

For all of you whom have emailed me... I talked to Mike and he seems very iterested in working a "group buy" for those who are interested. People are always trying group buys for aftermarket parts... why not for the car itself?? Please spread the word. I am currently trying to sell my car, and hoping to purchase by the end of the month. Even if somehow I cannot make a pruchase myself this month... I will still help set this up for anyone interested. Keep in touch guys. -Brian

Hmm...email me the details.

dizzydj@aol.com

However, I'm looking for a TLS w/ navi, and spoiler and underbody kit, so I'm not sure how they'll want to deal.

I'm also in the DC area.

Thanks!

Dizzy

Those numbers sound too good to be true . I just emailed you for details. Do you know if they will deal aggresively on the CL Type S as well?

Thanks for all the replies. As things always seem to happen with me... I won't be able to work on this goup deal anymore. I got a call yesterday with a job offer, and I will be leaving a week from today. I got many replies, and it seems like those of you whom are interested... that if you come together... a group deal will definately work out. So if anyone would like to take initiative, and decide to head this up, write me an email and post your desire to do so on here for everyone to know. I can forward all of the emails I received to this person, and introduce you to Mike MacCormack at Rosenthal. Sorry to dissapoint you guys, but if somone takes over here... it should still work out. -Brian

Sorry to hear your leaving town..but good luck with your new job. I was confused about this group deal.... would the group members get LESS than 29k since it's a group or just around 29k? I ask this because you told me that you were able to get this number at your own and that anyone could. Thanks!

Around $29k is what everyone should be able to get one on their own.... since they have over 20 TL-S' in stock. The group buy would lower that number, and help out with accessories.

Hey Brian. Sorry to hear your car deal is not working out. I emailed you but did not hear back. Could you please post the Dealership phone number/address so any of us interested in an individual deal could contact your guy Mike directly? Thanks.

Mike MacCormack of Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He can be reached at 301-442-5506. His email is mike@acuramike.com and his website is www.acuramike.com. Just let him know you are interested in the group deal that was proposed by Brian on the Acura TL message board.

kermitminnick@hotmail.com (TL-S within 2 months)
mweppner7@hotmail.com
Garyayers7@aol.com (lives in NY but would drive down for a deal!)
wolmsted@cfpll.com (from Germantown)
chakee27@hotmail.com (looking at an RSX... still would be helpful to have as many cars in the deal at once)
rodgermorales@hotmail.com (out of state as well)
ryan.martin@attws.com

Those are whom I received emails from... so that list is a start. Remember that the CL and RSX people could be contacted as well about a group buy. Imagine the prices and service we could get if more than 10 of us bought a car at the "same time" from one dealership. It looks like when I get back in town I will be buying a TL-S from Rosenthal.... especially since I will be working less than a mile from their dealership.

Go ahead and add me to the list as well. I have e-mailed him directly and I will let you know what we come to.

Well I'm about to leave to Georgia. I hope you guys pull something together... it would be interesting to see how it works out. Hell... if it goes well... I bet someone could make A LOT of money by making a group buy website that includes all auto manufacturers... with selected dealerships throughout the U.S. That person could negotiate the deals for those in every group buy, and take a nominal fee.... people would get cars for a lot cheaper and the dealerships would sell more cars... sounds like it would be a good deal for everyone.
