I just got through installing the Pioneer AVIC 8100 Nex into my 2003 TL w/ Navi. I replaced the Factory radio and so far it's looking good. I am running into some issues with Car Play but that's the subject of another topic. My problem is, for the life of me I can't remember if the temperature gauge cluster that's above the radio and below the Navi screen illuminates when you turn on your lights?

Right now, those gauges look dark for me when I turn on my headlights. All my other gauges illuminate except for those. I can't remember if they were suppose to or not and I don't want to have to take down the whole cluster just to find out there are no bulbs!

So if anybody with the 2nd gen TL and have Navi, can take a look at the climate control when they turn on their head lights and let me know...

One more thing to add -- the dimmer switch in the lower left hand panel doesn't seem to work Like I said all the other gauges light up when I turn on my headlights. It's just the climate control stuff that look dark when my headlights turn on.

Thats correct they're not suppose to illuminate. Only when you turn it on will the indicator light up.

Correction the dimmer switch does illuminate but really hard to see in day light.

Thanks 01acls -- when I push the buttons, I wasn't positive if the those buttons had some backlight with them..
