I think you can grab it from the Acura website, if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure that's where I got my copy. Uncompressed, it's something like 9MB in size. Compressed, it's about 5.5MB. You're probably better off just downloading it from Acura.com if possible ...

well, i plan on adding a whole bunch of stuff, better speaker system, better alarm, tracking(if my car gets stolen), a DVD unit with screens on the head rests, some neon lights under the seats, etc, i wanna do alot wit this car, but i wanna do it all by myself too, cause installation for all this would come out to be like $2000, and i'd rather save that much money.

I have heard quite a bit about a scanned copy of a scanned service manual. I totally agree that it should be something that everyone who is DIY owns, but tonight is the night that I had planned on doing it. Arrival should have taken two weeks; when in fact it is more like six weeks. Drop me a note if there is anything that you can to do help.
Once mine arrives I will scan it and does anyone have an idea of where to post the pdf. Work has one of those kick butt scanners that will take a double sided page scan it page by page; five or so mins later there is a pdf file. Does this really need to be done or has someone already made this source of information on demand?
Thanks and if it weren't for the forum I would have not taken apart my breaks in order to get to the Rotors. Found out that I am fighting 36 mm; thx guys I will have the correct tools by tomorrow.

We had a member in 3G scan the service manual and posted the link to his website, but we had to delete it immediately since it was copyrighted material and we had to protect the legal interests of the forum.
If you did scan it and put it on a website of your own, or if you were willing to provide any pages requested by a member in this forum, you still might be liable for breaking the copyright laws, so you should check this out before you attempt to do this.
Here is a link to the post that havokgroup wrote in 3G TL, and you can send him a PM and find out how he is handling this.

Yup...one person scanned the 04-05 TL/TLS manual, 1336 pages....and put it online to share with others and the TL community. I wouldn't be making fun of people who putting such efforts in helping out others.

The person who did that originally thought he would just give out the link to his server, but then thought better of it, again because of the copyright infringement. Acura owns the copyright to the service manual, and Helms only prints and distributes it for them.
Acura probably wouldn't mind if someone asked for a few pages and you sent them the pages, but as far as giving the public access to your web site, that again is a big no-no.
Just my words of caution.

I'm not saying it is lawfully right to do it..What i was trying to say was the thought of helping others while taking the time/efforts to scan page by page...that counts. He bought a copy for himself but decided to share with others.
if i were him, i wouldn't put it on my own server either...
