i have a 2003 TL that now has a pink tinted driver side headlight....i am assuming this means the xenon is burnt out or whatever....can i fix this at home? what do i need? how much is this going to cost?

 

ur bulb is about to go out. get a new pair.

 

Time to buy 2 new bulbs.

 

a few good DIYs here. You should only need to replace the bulbs (replace in pairs as noted above). Kaixen is good (half the price of OEMs) - decide on the color light you want (4300 is stock, 5000 is bright white, 8000 has more blue). Easy DIY (although I found it easier to remove the battery to get to the driver side). You'll need a security torx bit #20 (got a set from sears) to get the housing cover off. you'll save $$$$ by not taking to shop / dealer for this.

 

What they don't tell you is that it's a mission getting the clip back into place after you put in the new bulbs. I know I'm not the only one here who experienced that.

 

i got the 8000k bulbs and accidently touched the driver side, lol now the driver side goes kina purple and the passenger side goes blue hhahaha. Not a big different though lol

 

Life is much easier when you practice with the light out. Wasnt that hard after doing that.
