So my dad and I recently wrapped up our very own AV6 swap (Transmission came from an 07 Accord 3.0, paid $800 for it) this has been a long time coming and my dad said if I bought the trans, we'd fix it and the car would be mine. Long story, but it took a little under a year from when the car broke down until we had it driving again (I know, long time but we didn't really have the finances or time and I wasnt a part of the deal until about August of this year) but the car is done now. I'm driving it and I love it. Anyway, my dad once made a bonehead mistake and left the sunroof open and the car was rained in, and ever since then the clock has been messed up and the SRS light stays on. He made an appointment with the dealership about the airbag recall (yes we were aware of it) and the guy said he tried to read the code but the car wasn't communicating with whatever reader he had. They fixed the part under the recall but the light still remains on. A few other problems just in case someone cares: power steering pump whines some, the parking brake light comes on when braking (I think low fluid but unsure) and we need to do the timing belt kit as the car has 182k miles and we are unsure if it's ever been done before. We have the kit we just need to find time. Other than that stuff and the paint fading, I love the car. The new tranny is amazing. Highly recommend the swap of you know what you are doing.

With the SRS light on, I'm pretty sure the system is *disabled* under that condition so I would not consider your car safe to drive until you get that fixed. Someone else might be able to confirm or deny this however.

Power Steering: Screeching/screaming sound - your belt may be a bit loose. A buzzing noise - you're low on fluid (suspect a leak).
Brakes: Low on fluid or pads are low.
