2002 tls braking issues

Thumbs down 2002 tls braking issues

I recently purchased a 2002 tls and noticed the brakes feel soft and mushy does any one else have the same problem?

I think the 2001 is like that also, I don't really like the feel of the brakes at all. Maybe b/c I'm always going too fast.

It could be a mechanical problem. My 2000 TL brakes got really mushy so they replaced the master cylinder.This made the brakes much stiffer. Then it got soft again so they bled the brake lines. This fixed the problem, but brakes kept getting mushy. Finally after bleeding the lines 2-3 visits in a row, they replaced my ABS control unit, I think, and so far no more saggy brakes, knock on wood.

I think brakes are an issue with all Gen 2's..

The tires.. Change the tires....... My plans are cross-drilled or slotted rotors with Metal Master pads and some goodridge brake lines, that should help just a bit...
